Joe Braceland
Joe Braceland is the Chief Executive Officer for Pericore, Inc. and a co-inventor of the Ozone™ product suite. He is a biometric advisor to the U.S. Department of State, and introduced biometrics for logical access to the State Department. He has held trusted roles in support of the State Department's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and identity management efforts, most notably with the implementation of Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12). Previously he managed the U.S. development team responsible for biometric middleware application for the Keyware product line. He was also the original client-side architect and implementer of the Department of Homeland Security's IDENT system (precursor to US-VISIT) for identifying illegal border crossers via their fingerprints. He holds two U.S. patents dealing with distributed mobile and stand-alone biometric authentication systems.
Bill Russell
Bill Russell is the Chief Technology Officer for Pericore, Inc. and the primary inventor of the Ozone product suite. He advises the Department of Homeland Security on issues related to e-Passports, served as the Chief Architect for the Department of Homeland Security's e-Passport Validation Service, and was the technical architect for 10-print biometric examination and verification. He has also served as the Project Manager and co-architect for the Department of State's e-Passport Digital Signing Service. Previously he developed the worldwide Security Risk Assessment methodology and the PKI methodology for Arthur Andersen. His active involvement with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) led to several key modifications to ICAO’s standards for securing machine-readable travel documents.
Mike Matyas
Michael Matyas is Chief Operating Officer for Pericore, Inc. and a veteran of the information security business. He served for more than twenty years as the Chief Technical Officer at Management Systems Designer (MSD), Inc., taking the company from a fourteen person start-up to a 700 person diversified technology supplier until MSD’s acquisition by Lockheed Martin in 2007. With a career that spans Federal Government Service as well as private sector contracting, Mr. Matyas has a depth of experience in nearly all aspects of advanced information technology including product development, marketing, support, and finance.

The Pericore story
Mount Airey Group, Inc. is an information security consultancy headquartered in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We formed Pericore based on our experience in custom system development with special expertise in public key infrastructure (PKI), smart cards, biometrics, and security systems integration.
Our personnel have extensive experience in the design, development, and management of software engineering projects. Our software development experience ranges from specialized demonstration systems for sales efforts to large multi-tiered applications for federal customers. From securing commercial transactions, to developing e-Passport solutions, to designing advanced biometric systems, we’ve helped both commercial and Federal Government customers stay secure.
Our skill sets include extensive knowledge in PKI, client/server, database, Web, biometric, authentication, and authorization systems. Our individuals have worked well in team environments and in positions ranging from focused coding tasks to management of large application development projects.
